Tweens (U.S.) are a $300-billion economic force, same as Miley Cyrus' or Jonas Brothers' weekly allowance. World's first marketing sociologist with an MBA in marketing and years of experience for nation's largest companies in marketing, public relations and journalism helps market to tweens.

Was looking at the whole Catholic sainthood nominating and selection
process recently. Think it is time for 21st Century teen years
nominations.
St. Steve of Apple
Apple Apple II Macintosh NeXT Pixar iPod iTunes iPhone iPad GUI That's enough to get him sainthood!
St. Lindsay the Fire Crotch
Incredibly, she's still alive. Good enough for sainthood.
St. Kim the Kardashian
As Barbara Walters noted, she doesn't sing, she doesn't dance, she doesn't act. She has one of the most popular television shows, leads you in Twitter and Facebook numbers. Ironic what a sex tape can do to get you canonized.
In six weeks, Susan Boyle has destroyed 20th Century marketing. In the next week or two, Billboard will be announcing its album of the year.
Taylor Swift has had Fearless on the charts the entire year. She toured her tail off (unfortunately did not make Top 10 concerts of the year). Was in the Jonas Brothers and other movies. Yet Boyle, who has had her CD out since Thanksgiving, will beat Swift for CD of the year.
How did Boyle do it? A little thing called YouTube. In 2007, I was thrown out of offices for suggesting YouTube & MySpace presence instead of press releases. Boyle's success is directly from YouTube. You can not turn on a newscast without seeing a YouTube related story.
Today I am advocating SmartPhone apps; getting the same reactions from companies as when I advocated YouTube. You wonder why the economy is bad? 20th Century thinking management!
Just like the missing Farris Bueller, I Love You Beth Cooper is gone from movies’ Top 10 after three weeks at the box office. While a movie like G-Force comes in with $32-million on its opening, I Love You Beth Cooper hasn’t even grossed half that in three weeks.
On sister site TweenMusic.blogspot.com I mentioned I Love You Beth Cooper star Hayden Panettiere was nowhere in sight promoting the film. No Twitters, no appearance other than like Letterman and Regis and Kelly. No Conan, I believe, no Jimmy Kimmel. Don’t believe she did the morning shows. No web casts – de rigueur today in entertainment marketing.
When will marketing people realize the game has changed and we’re in the 21st Century? You wouldn’t go into a bar and say, “Hey, how are you chicks?” Yet most marketing agencies are still deploying that same ‘70s mentality in their marketing “plans.”
